Jeanette Meyer

Meyer, Jeanette "Jan" MADISON - Jeanette "Jan" Meyer, age 83, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 24, 1924, in Madison, the daughter of Anton and Mary (Zielger) Kubicek. Jan married William Meyer in 1954, at St. Bernard Catholic Church, Madison. She graduated from Madison East High School. Jan worked for many years at General Casualty Insurance Company. She loved to garden and was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Jan is survived by her son, Bill (Lora) Meyer of McFarland; two granddaughters, Traci (Jim) Patterson of Stoughton, and Michelle (Peter Kluge) Patterson of Sarasota, Fla.; three great-granddaughters; a great-great-granddaughter; three siblings, Joseph (Kathleen) Kubicek of Sycamore, Ill., Corky Smith of Palatine, Ill., and Robert (Rosemary) Kubicek of Monona; brother-in-law, Walter (Noreen) Meyer; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Meyer. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 11:30 a.m., on Monday, Sept. 24, 2007, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Entombment will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, with a Rosary service at 6 p.m., also visitation will be at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HospiceCare, Inc. The family extends thanks to St. Marys Hospital, Meriter Rehabilitation Center and HospiceCare Center. A special thanks to Gina and Ida. She loved many and was loved by many.
