Roger Heitman

Heitman, Roger A. MADISON - Roger A. Heitman, a native of Madison, and a resident of Baton Rouge, for the last five years, age 70, passed away on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center - Bluebonnet. Roger is survived by his wife of 30 years, Silvia Kese Heitman of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Janice Heitman and Dawn Garvey, both of Madison; four sons, Gregory Heitman of Madison, Michael (Jeanette) Heitman of Lake Mills, Mark (Susan) Heitman of Kolona, Iowa, Daniel (Christy) Heitman of Storm Lake, Iowa; a step-daughter, Amie (Joe) Brickl of Sun Prarie; a stepson, William (Joanne) Melvin of Powell, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; and Carol J. Heitman, the mother of his six children, of Madison. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Stuart Heitman and Grace Irene Hein Heitman; and sister, Donna J. Heitman. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at GUNERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 17, 2007, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
