Kasperek, Henry "Hank" MADISON - Henry "Hank" Kasperek, age 90, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at HospiceCare, surrounded by his family. He was born on Sept. 18, 1916, in Leona, the son of Adelbert and Salomea Kasperek. Hank proudly served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He started Kasperek Masonary in the 50s, and finally retired at age 76. Hank played with the Monona Senior Band and brought entertainment to many nursing homes and senior centers. He was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Elks Club, the Brick Layers Association, V.F.W. Post No. 1318, and American Legion in Marshall. Hank is survived by two daughters, Ann (Jim) Joachim of Madison, and Kathy (Henry "Butch") Maertz of Madison; four grandchildren, Chris (Bill) Sykstus, Tom (Jackie) Joachim, Dawn (Ray) Llorca and Christopher (Jill) Maertz; eight great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Marjorie Kasperek; a brother-in-law, Bob Jensen; a special friend, Grace Edmunds; and further survived by many friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Evelyn M. Kasperek in 1984; a son, Bobby in 1958; three brothers; and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 1 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, with Father Kent Schmitt presiding. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be at church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc. While we couldn't be there for the funeral, we want you to know that your family is in our thoughts and prayers. Uncle Hank was an unforgetable person who we loved and enjoyed very much. Our children even talk about him; especially the saying 'don't be worried, only be concerned.'
