Obituary
Mayo, Nancy L. MIDDLETON - Nancy L. Mayo, age 63, departed from this earth to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at the Don and Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center. She was born on Aug. 28, 1943, in Pittsburg, Pa., the oldest of three children, to Raymond W. and Gladys (Cline) LaSota. Nancy graduated from Ellettsville High School in Ellettsville, Ind., in 1960. She married her high school sweetheart, Don E. Mayo, on Sept. 3, 1961, in Ellettsville, Ind. Nancy worked for Purdue University-Humanities Department Comptrollers Office for three and a half years, while Don was in school, raised her family of two sons and then worked as the business administrator for Mayo Corporation for 16 years. She was actively involved with Womens Bible Study Fellowship, Precepts Ministries and with her church serving as a Sunday school teacher, Womens Ministry Leader, Deaconess and many volunteer committees. Her greatest joy was time spent with family and friends. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Don E. Mayo; sons, Timothy L. (Gloria) Mayo of Monroeville, Pa. and Curtis R. (Michelle) Mayo of Gladstone, Mich.; nine grandchildren, Emily, Peter, Bradley, Donna, Todd, Becky, Rachel, Derick and Devon; a sister, Barbara (Paul) Stewart of Greensboro, N.C.; a brother, Ronald (Kim) LaSota of Indianapolis, Ind.; and her step-mother, Mildred LaSota of Bloomington, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at HIGH POINT CHURCH, 7702 Old Sauk Road, Madison, at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, with the Rev. William Mugford and the Rev. Richard Sisson presiding. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007.
