John Dinga

Dinga, John M. MADISON - John M. Dinga, age 97, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at City View Health Care Center. He was born on Sept. 22, 1909, in Guernsey County, Ohio, the son of Daniel and Susanna (Jurkovic) Dinga. John married Fern Dulin in 1946. He grew up on a farm in Sarona, Wis., where he lived until moving to Madison in 1945, where he spent the remainder of his life. John worked for the United States Armed Forces Institute until his retirement in 1971. He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 245. John is survived by his wife, Fern; two daughters, Ruth Ann (Orville) Kerl and Sue (Mike) Alt; three sons, John D. (Nancy), Ron (Lori) and Gary (Holly); 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and two sisters. A private family memorial service will be at a later date. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens with military honors conducted by Cross Plains American Legion. The family would like to extend a special thank you to City View Health Care Center, especially nurse Kim, for the care they gave John.
