Bernelda Nordness

Nordness, Bernelda E. MADISON - Bernelda E. Nordness, age 84, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at Harbor House, Madison. She was born on Aug. 25, 1923, in Greenwood, the daughter of Arthur and Mabel (Gray) Reineking. Bernelda married Robert "Bud" Nordness in Madison. She was a teacher until her children were born. After her own children were grown she returned as a special education teachers aide in the Madison schools. Bernelda loved spending time with her grandchildren, doing puzzles and going to the arboretum. She is survived by her two children, Michael (Kathy) Nordness of Sun Prairie and Wendy (Jerry) Stoker of Madison; five grandchildren, Jeff (Tricia) Ripp, Andrew and Alex Nordness and Scott and Matt Stoker; a great-grandson, Roberto Ripp; and a sister-in-law, Marlene Reineking. Bernelda was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; parents; and a brother, Harry. Memorial services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007. Inurnment will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday.
