Marie Jensen

Jensen, Marie BROOKLYN - Marie Jensen, age 88, of Brooklyn, passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at home. She was born on Feb. 22, 1919, in La Valle, the daughter of Walter and Minnie (Hess) Rhinehart. Marie married Clarence Jensen on June 5, 1937, in Dubuque, Iowa. She lived in Brooklyn for 68 years, where she raised two boys. Marie enjoyed sewing, homemaking, gardening and baking for her grandkids. She is survived by a son, Walter (Sharon) Jensen of Brooklyn; daughter-in-law, Rose Jensen of Wisconsin Dells; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence ?Link? Jensen; son, John "Jack" Jensen; grandson, Trygve Jensen; two brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 431 Soden Drive, Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 27, 2007, with the Rev. Gail Brown presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the services. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Brooklyn.
