Elvyria Peterson

Peterson, Elvyria "Ellie" MADISON - Elvyria "Ellie" Peterson, age 75, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2007, with her loving family close by and her husband at her side. She was born on Oct. 19, 1931, in Montfort, the daughter of Alvin and Lulu Knutson. Ellie married her wonderful husband, Palmer in 1950 and they had 56 wonderful years together. She loved flowers and gardening, baking, doing things for her family, camping and traveling all over the U.S. Ellie was a waitress at Maple Bluff Country Club for 28 years. She was a member of V.F.W. Post No. 8483 Ladies Auxiliary. Ellie is survived by her husband, Palmer "Pete"; five children, David (Janet), Susan (Henry) Rich, Duane (Sandy), Don and Dan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Curtis (Myrtle) Knutson; and three sisters, Betty Schrader, Bernice (John) Novotny and Evelyn Johns. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Doris, Luella, Everett and Calvin. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 3 p.m., on Saturday, July 14, 2007, with Jon Dahl presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Ellies name for a fund to be established.
