Stella Hayter

Hayter, Stella "Estelle" MADISON - Stella "Estelle" Hayter, age 86, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2007, at HospiceCare Inc. She was born on March 21, 1921, near Viroqua, the daughter of Peter and Ida (Christianson) Simonson. Estelle and her former husband of 45 years, Virgil, raised two children, Judy and Jane. She enjoyed playing musical instruments, singing and writing poetry. Estelle is survived by her two children,Judy (Richard) Frydenlund of Sun Prairie and Jane (John) Voss of Madison; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and two sisters. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., at 7 p.m., on Monday, July 9, 2007, with Pastor Dean Howell, from Grace Baptist Church presiding. Burial will be at the Viroqua Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2007. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, July 9, 2007. Thanks to Karmenta Nursing Home for the care given to Estelle during her short stay, to St. Mary?s Hospital staff for her June stay, and HospiceCare Inc., for the excellent care during her last days on earth. Special thanks to Haacks Tender Care for their excellent care the past seven years. She loved her family dearly and will be remembered with love.
