LaVerne Hoene

Hoene, LaVerne E. MONONA LaVerne E. Hoene, age 89, of Monona, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2007, at Meriter Hospital. She was born on May 7, 1918, in Van Dyne, to Benjamin and Selma (Nimmer) Rhyner. LaVerne married Walter Hoene on Oct. 19, 1946, in Fond du Lac. She worked for a foundry in Madison for 40 years as a bookkeeper. LaVerne was a member of the Eagles. She enjoyed playing cards with all her friends at the V.F.W. LaVernes sense of humor will be missed by all. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Germaine Rhyner; brothers-in-law, Alvin Rhyner and Harley Rhyner; and nieces and nephews. LaVerne was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, in 2001. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2007. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service. Private burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
