Acker, Casper A. "Cap" MIDDLETON - Casper A. "Cap" Acker, age 78, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born Feb. 7, 1929, in Ashton, to Frank and Helen (Spahn) Acker. Cap was raised in Ashton and he later moved to Middleton. He married Patricia Lubcke on Feb. 6, 1951, in Ashton. Together they farmed for 13 years. Cap worked for 27 years as a tool and die maker at Graber (Springs Window Fashions) before retiring. He enjoyed the outdoors and being among family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be missed dearly. He is survived by his wife, Pat of Middleton; children, Jeff (Colene) Acker, Leigh Ann (Bill) Eddy, Jerry Acker, Sandy Bilek, Heidi Varesi, Dana (Keith) Carden, and Tammy Acker (fianc Bill Bohling); grandchildren, Jaron, Leah, Jesse, Zach, Kristopher, Steven, Ben, Dakota, Taylor and Sydney; brothers, Ray Acker and Laurence (Sally) Acker; sisters, Marian Hensen, Marcella Wagner, Dolores (Leonard) Bollig, Helen Gilles, Jane (Bill) Whitt, and Jeanette (Carl) Kurt. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Greg, Jerome and Edmund; grandson, Dustin Varesi; and son-in-law, Steve Varesi. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 27, 2007, at 1 p.m. at ST. BERNARDS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave. Middleton, with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to HospiceCare Inc. or the Ronald McDonald House.
