Keith McDowell

McDowell, Keith MADISON/ BLUE RIVER - Keith McDowell, age 82, of Madison, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2007, at HospiceCare Center. He was born on June 10, 1925, in Richland County, the son of George E. and Beulah (Dobbs) McDowell. Keith served in the U.S. Army Air Force from 1943 until 1946. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Eng on Sept. 16, 1950, in Blue River. Keith worked at Oscar Mayer from 1946 until his retirement in 1988. He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; four children, Jeffrey (fiancee, Eileen Weisensel) of Sun Prairie, Timothy of Fort Atkinson, Penny (Scott) Rasmussen of McFarland and Becky (John) Voelker of McFarland; seven grandchildren, Kristi McDowell Duschack (fianc, Craig Gehrke), Craig McDowell, Bryan, Tanner and Logan Rasmussen, and Ross and Jay Voelker; three sisters, Wanda McDowell of Sauk City, Wava Miller of Dodgeville, and Wanita (LeRoy) Studnicka of Boscobel; brother-in-law, Kenneth (Madonne) Eng of Blue River; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Tisdale of Blue River and Audrey Peterson of Middleton; and many special nieces and nephews. Keith was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gus and Lola Eng; a special daughter-in-law, Connie McDowell; and five brothers-in-law, Reg Miller, Arthur Sakaye, Bernard Eng, Arthur Peterson and Clem Tisdale. Funeral services will be held at BLUE RIVER UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, Blue River, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, with the Rev. Harriet Rowland presiding. Burial will be at Blue River Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 and at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
