Marie Nobbs

Nobbs, Marie F. OREGON - Marie F. Nobbs, of Oregon, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2007, shortly before her 93rd birthday. She was born June 13, 1914, to Albert and Sophie (Weisinger) Thrun. She married William Nobbs on April 4, 1934. He preceded her in death in April 1970. Marie retired in 1978, after 32 years of service to the University of Wisconsin. Survivors include her sons, Robert (Kathy) Nobbs of Loganville and Norman (Marie) Nobbs of Hancock; grandchildren, Duane, Virginia (James) Kruschke, Ellen (Jeff) Corlett, Dennis (Heather), Deb (Jim) Bacon, Sally (Mike) Darr and Linda (Brett) Cunningham; 11 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Norma Thrun; and many other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, William, Emil, Alvin, Emelia Gilbertson and Lucille Thrun; and great-grandchild, Phillip Kruschke. Services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at noon on Monday, June 18, 2007, with the Rev. Joann Fabie presiding. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
