Working with Carey @ Verizon Wireless was always a blast. Smart guy. Always there to lend a hand. Will miss chatting with him and comparing whose kids did crazier things.

The last time I saw Carey was when he was working in Fargo for Overhead Door Company and he came out to measure a new door for us. He was so excited to be getting married and starting his life with his new bride. I am so sorry for the loss and hope that you will treasure the memories. God bless the family!

I met Carey in August of 2001 when we began our tenure together at Verizon Wireless. We went on to work together for about 3 1/2 years. He was more than a co-worker, however. He was a friend. there were some things that he said that he just seemed to pick out of thin air that made me roll with laughter. ALWAYS POSITIVE. Carey was probably the most positive person I have ever come across even though he was going through a horrible health crisis.
After I left Verizon I fell out of touch with Carey and Anne-Renee. I never knew of some of the escalated health issues that he was batteling until after the fact. Something I will regret for a long time to come is not spending more time with him the last 3 years or so.
The one thing that I will take away from my relationship with Carey is that he always knew how to treat and deal with people. He was kind to EVERYONE.
I just wish that I would have been as good of a friend to him as he was to me.
Anne-Renee, you and your family will be in our prayers.
Carey, I will miss you.
