Richard Zins

Zins, Richard L. MONONA/ MADISON Richard- L. Zins, age 69, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at Meriter Hospital. He was born on Nov. 10, 1937, in Sauk City, the son of John P. and Esther (Klien) Zins. Richard was united marriage to Janice Warner on Sept. 3, 1953, in Indiana. He was a service manager for Don Miller. In his free time, he enjoyed doing his own body work, was a do-it-yourselfer, a country music fan and kept his lawn perfect. His family was very important to him. Richard is survived by his wife, Janice of Madison; daughter, Christine (Steve) Johnson of Madison; son, David Zins of Madison; four grandchildren, Cassidy and Jarred Johnson, Melissa Zins and Manny Romprey; three brothers, Anton (Carole) Zins of DeForest, Fred Dahnke of Poynette and Dennis Dahnke of Poynette; brother-in-law, Theron McHone of Columbus; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Orlo and Eugene Zins; two sisters, Dorothy Hubred and Myra Specht; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Zins; mother-in-law, Violet McHone; and a sister-in-law, Florence. Funeral services will be held at ST. STEPHENS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5700 Pheasant Hill Road, Monona, at 1 p.m., on Thursday, July 5, 2007. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
