Obituary
Bosman, Earl MONONA- Earl Bosman, age 87, formerly of Monona, passed away on Friday, June 29, 2007, at Clare Bridge Assisted Living in Middleton. Earl was born Sept. 12, 1919, in Hammond, Wis., to Dirk and Katie (Stork) Bosman. He served in the Pacific Theater during World War II from 1942 to 1945. Earl was united in marriage to Jean Wolferman on March 11, 1949. She preceded him in death on April 2, 1985. Earl was employed by Padgham Painting Company for over 20 years. He later became assistant business representative for Painters Local 802 under Harold (Babe) Rohr until Babes retirement. He then became business representative until his own retirement in 1982. Earl was a long-time member of Lake Edge United Church of Christ where he served as moderator and head of Christian Education. After retirement, he was active in Madison Elks, East Side Business Mens Association and Madison East Kiwanis where he participated in meals-on-wheels, adopt-a-highway and Wil-Mar Neighborhood Center meals. Earl is survived by a daughter, Susan (Leonard) Schaub of Black Earth; a son, Robert of Lodi; two grandsons, Kevin and Christopher Schaub; and dear friend, Florence Zeman of Madison. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; and three brothers, the Rev. Andrew, Cecil and twin brother, Irwin. The family would like to thank the staff of Clare Bridge for their compassionate care of dad after his stroke. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at 1 p.m. at LAKE EDGE UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 4200 Buckeye Road, Madison, with the Rev. Paul Shupe presiding. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park. A time for visiting and reflections will take place after the funeral. Memorials may be made to Lake Edge United Church of Christ, Madison East Kiwanis or a charity of ones choice.
