Loretta Baldwin

Baldwin, Loretta M. MADISON - Loretta M. "Sis" Baldwin, age 91, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2007. She was born Aug. 23, 1915, in Highland, the daughter of Ralph and Agnes Benish. Loretta was united in marriage to Lester Baldwin on May 16, 1939, in Highland. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, UW-Madison sports and band, sewing, playing cards, dancing, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. Loretta was an active member of St. Dennis Catholic Church since 1957 and the St. Dennis Altar Society. She is survived by her daughter, Leah "LeAnn" Baldwin; grandson, Lon Baldwin; granddaughter-in-law, Sharon Baldwin; the light of "GGs" life, her three great-grandchildren, Dylan, Lyndsey and Ethan Baldwin; two sisters-in-law, Mildred Benish and Fern Benish; several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends. Loretta was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester, in 1974; sister, Delores; and brothers, Eugene, Tom, Bob and John Benish. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, June 20, 2007. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the church from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Tuesday, June 19, 2007, with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.
