Lillian Burgette

Burgette, Lillian A. MADISON - Lillian A. Burgette, age 95, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2007, at the Columbia Health Care Center, Wyocena. She was born on Nov. 2, 1911, in Sheboygan, to Fred and Anna (Luedke) Hurtiene. Lillian graduated from Sheboygan High School and attended Madison Area Technical College for a year. She married Carl Lundquist on June 1, 1934, in Belvedere, Ill. He preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1970. Lillian worked for the state of Wisconsin, Board of Health as a clerk, retiring in 1974. She married Clifford Burgette on Sept. 26, 1974, in Madison. He preceded her in death on Nov. 9, 1988. Lillian was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and was an active volunteer at the church. She was also a member of the Eagles and Monona Senior Center. Lillian is survived by her son, Douglas (Yvonne) Lundquist of Oxford; granddaughters, Deborah (Dan) Tobias of Cottage Grove, Diana (Kent) Lunsford, and Doreen McReynolds, both of Florida, and Julie Wagner of Brooklyn; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by her husbands; parents; stepson, Wallace Burgette; and brothers, Ervin, Walter and Elmer Hurtiene. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2007. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park.
