Obituary
Beers, Lawrence L. "Larry" OREGON - Lawrence L. "Larry" Beers, age 69, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2007, at St. Marys Hospital, Madison. Larry was born in Beaver Dam, Nov. 26, 1937, the son of Leonard and Leona (Zoellner) Beers. Larry graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1956. He married Marjorie "Marge" Schneider on April 25, 1964. Larry and Marge just celebrated their 43rd Anniversary. Larry retired from Kirsh Foundry, Beaver Dam, as a Master Patternmaker in 2000, after working there for 15 years. Previous to that, Larry worked for more than 20 years at Giddings and Lewis Foundry, Madison. Larry was an avid bowler, especially proud of his 706 series. He was also into woodworking and was fond of watching sports of any type. Larry is survived by his wife, Marge; daughters, Laurie A. Cumber of Fond du Lac and Diana L. (Robert) Jensen of Oregon; grandchildren, Michael, Monica and Marcus Huntsman, all of Fond du Lac; his brother, Dennis (Karen) Beers of Fall River; sister, Bonnie Sengele of Beaver Dam; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty (Jim) Manson, Clarice (Frank) Huehne, Stanley (Kathy) Schneider, all of Oregon. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews and several relatives in Beaver Dam. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Leona; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Stanley and Eileen Schneider of Oregon. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at the FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 172 N. Main St., Oregon, with the Rev. Clara Thompson presiding. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 431 Soden Drive, on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Burial will be in Prairie Mound Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Building fund, Oregon.
