Michael Bechmann

Bechmann, Michael L. MADISON - Michael L. Bechmann, age 50, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 4, 2007, at St. Marys Hospital, from complications of esophageal cancer. He was born on March 11, 1957, in Milwaukee, the son of Christoph and Patty Jean (Mathews) Bechmann. Mike served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1974 until 1978. He worked for the State of Wisconsin for the past 25 years. Mike was an avid fisherman, hunter and just simply loved being outdoors. He also enjoyed woodworking. Mike is survived by his two loving daughters, Heather (Rick) Hanson of Evansville, and Samantha Bechmann of Monona; and their mom, Sheila Bechmann of Monona; stepmother, Mary Bechmann of Milwaukee; his dogs, that he referred to as his two girls, Shadow and Casta; best friend, Janis Goss; all his friends and supporters at the Serenity Club; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and best friend, Carl Aeschlimann. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 11 a.m., on Monday, May 7, 2007. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., on Sunday, May 6, 2007. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.
