Arline Kaisler

Kaisler, Arline MADISON - Arline (Bohn) Kaisler died at Meriter Hospital on Friday, April 20, 2007, after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Arline was born in Racine on March 3, 1924, the oldest child of Elizabeth and Alvin Bohn. She graduated from St. Catharines High School in 1942. She married George Kaisler on June 26, 1948, at Sacred Heart Church in Racine. They had almost 59 years of a happy marriage. During her working life she was employed in various office positions in Racine, Laramie, Wyoming, Chippewa Falls, Milwaukee and Madison. She retired from the U.S. Soil Conservation Service in 1984. She and George had 24 years of happy retirement. They traveled extensively in Europe, the Caribbean and the United States. Arline liked to go on fishing trips in northern Wisconsin and enjoyed catching bass. Arline and George lived in Middleton for 40 years and were faithful members of St. Bernard Catholic Church of Middleton. In 2004, Arline and George moved to the All Saints Retirement Community in Madison. There Arline enjoyed the friendships of many people that lived there and she loved playing cards with them. Arline was a devoted and loving wife. She loved her children, grandchildren and her one and only great-grandchild and they loved her. Hers was a closely knit family that went through life enjoying and sharing all of lifes sweet moments. Arline is survived by her husband, George; two daughters, Carole (Mark) Schubring of Winthrop Harbor, Ill. and Janet (Michael) Bates of Eagan, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Ted (Wyndi) Schubring, Elizabeth (Joshua) Beam, Matthew Schubring, Steve (Kate) Bates, and Greg Bates; and a great-granddaughter, Alexie. She is further survived by her sister, Carol (Jerry) Brust of Franklin; a brother, Richard (Roberta) Bohn of Lago Vista, Texas; a brother-in-law, William (Jean) Kaisler of Racine; two sisters-in-law, Agnes (Polansky) Kaisler of Racine and Anna (Bailie) Kaisler of Laramie, Wyo.; and numerous nieces and nephews from all over the United States. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARDS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 7450 University Ave., Middleton at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, with Monsignor Douglas Dushack presiding. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Racine. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
