Thomas Vaughan

Vaughan, Thomas M. MADISON - Thomas M. Vaughan, age 89, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2007, at St. Marys Care Center. He was born on Dec. 25, 1917, in Madison, the son of Thomas A and Agnes (OConnor) Vaughan. Tom worked as an engineer with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad, retiring in 1978 after 30 years of service. He was a longtime member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. Tom is survived by his daughter, Nancy (Bart) Hunt of Edina, Minn.; six grandchildren, Lee-Anndra (Mark) Thielbar, James (Teri) Hunt, Thomas (Jody) Hunt, Kathleen (Craig) Spiers, Kelly Hunt and Jeffrey Hunt; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy; a daughter, Susan; and two brothers. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 18, 2007, at 11 a.m. at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., with Monsignor Michael Hippee and Monsignor Delbert Schmelzer concelebrating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Marys Care Center for all of their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. Bernard Catholic Church, or to the Society for the Propagation of Faith.
