Elaine Lambright

Lambright, Elaine MADISON - Elaine Lambright, age 87, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at St. Marys Hospital. She was born Elaine Adelle Randall on Sept. 27, 1919, in Eau Claire, the daughter of Adin and Ellen Randall (nee Erickson). She married Russell Lambright in 1943. They had four children, Leigh, Lynn (Bill), Glenn and Karen (Brian). She was widowed in 1963. After raising her children as a single parent, she lived very independently, traveling and creating everlasting friendships across continents. She graduated from Eau Claire Business College and was employed, with a strong work ethic, since 1960. She worked for more than 20 years at American Family Insurance, retiring in 1998, but remaining connected through the Retirees Luncheons. She enjoyed books, museums, arts and antiques, theater, film, ballet, travel and public television. She loved chocolate everyday and brunch on the weekends. She loved her flowers, her pets, Olbrich Gardens and all stray animals. She enjoyed strolling around the city. Her spirit, love and care will be especially missed by her grandchildren, Amy (Paul), Robby, Erin (Dan), Justin, Amanda (Al), Elisabeth, Shannon, Sonja, Emilie and Madelyn and her great-grandchildren, Tessa and Amie. "We love you, Gramma, and will miss you always. As you continue your journey, well always remember your bumper sticker Have you hugged a Swede today?" A private ceremony and burial were held on Friday, April 27, 2007. The family is very grateful for the kind services from Dr. Calvin Bruce, Harbor House on Burke Road (with a special thanks to Ivetta and her children) and St. Marys Hospital. Donations of time or money are suggested to the Dane County Humane Society.
