Obituary
Rademacher Joan M. FITCHBURG - Joan Marie Rademacher died on Friday, March 23, 2007, at the Peter and Ellen Johnson HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg, after being lovingly cared for by Hospice for the past two years. Joan has been a Madison resident since 2005, before that making her home on both the east and west coast. She spent her life in service to others, caring for many as a registered nurse. She will be remembered as an extraordinary woman who lived and celebrated each day of her life to the fullest. Joan was admired by everyone who had the honor of knowing her for her courage, her sense of humor, and for inspiring each of us to love deeper, laugh harder and to look at the world with the wonderment of a child. She will be missed by her family, grandson, Joe Rademacher; sisters, Linda (Ross) Bishop, Phyllis (Jim) Eggert, Carole (Rick) McBride; her brother, Duane (Pat) Smith; her many nieces, nephews and generations after that who will hear the many "aunt Joan" stories that are passed down. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene; and her children, Dennis, Ann, David and Mary. A celebration of Joans life was held on Saturday, March 24, 2007. If you would like to make a donation in her honor, please do so to the Huntington Disease Association or to Hospice.

Joan was just a wonderful lady. She was the driving force in planning many a family/friends
picnic at the nearby park in Lansing, Michigan. Our families were very close, and enjoyed each others company. I think all of us in the Roche family feel honored to say that she was our friend!
