Obituary

Thew, Perry A. OAK CREEK/ MADISON - Perry A. Thew, age 38, of Oak Creek, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 20, 2007, in Milwaukee. He was born in Rockford, Ill., on Oct. 29, 1968, the son of Cliff and Beverly Thew. Perry attended LaFollette High School and the UW-Madison, graduating with honors in industrial engineering. As a veteran of the U.S. Army, Perry served proudly in Desert Storm. Besides his family, the things he loved most were the outdoors, Chicago Cubs and the Wisconsin Badgers. Very few fall weekends were silent when his beloved Badgers were in town. Perry had a quick, warm smile for all he met and his warmth and kindness will be greatly missed. He is survived by his parents, Cliff and Beverly of Madison; and his loving sister, Jennifer (Tim) Feit of Wausau. Perry will also be greatly missed by his niece, Rachel; and nephew, Mitchell. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 7 p.m., on Thursday, March 29, 2007.

His former co-workers here at Rockwell are deeply saddened to hear of Perry's passing. Although I barely knew him, his open genuine and warm smile is firmly etched in my mind. He had an instant connection with people and was instantly likeable. To hear his former teammates speak of him, it is evident that there was a deep fondness there. He had qualities that are seldom found... and never forgotten. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. He is missed...
