Margaret Thaldorf

Thaldorf, Margaret K. MADISON - Margaret K. Thaldorf, age 98, died on Monday, March 26, 2007, at St. Marys Care Center. She was born on Feb. 25, 1909, in Winona, Minn. Margaret attended business college and worked as a secretary at Cities Service Oil Company. She married Hugo Thaldorf on Sept. 24, 1938. Margaret was active in Band Mothers and taught Sunday school for 17 years. Her family was most important to her. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Gloria; son, David; dear friend, Cindy Wells; and special pet, Lexus, all of Madison; sister-in-law, Mary Lou Rosencranz of Mystic, Conn.; grandchildren, Rebecca (Jon) Laratta of Plainfield, Ill., Susanna (Jeff) Anderson of Marshall, Minn., and Michael Thaldorf of River Falls; and great-granddaughters, Bethany and Alyssa Laratta, and Sophie and Olivia Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hugo; daughter, Mary Lou Mickelson; sister, Jean Schoenrock; brother, Howard Rosencranz; and brother-in-law, Elton Schoenrock. At Margarets request, private family services were held. The family wishes to thank nurse practitioner, Bette McCaulley and the caring staff of Capitol and Olbrich Lanes at St. Marys Care Center, where Margaret was a resident since April 2004.
