John Sosinsky

Sosinsky, John "Jack" DEFOREST - John "Jack" Sosinsky, age 73, of DeForest, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2007, at his home. He was born on Feb. 22, 1934, in Sauk County, the son of Clarence and Lucille Sosinsky. Jack was united in marriage to Dolores Wolfe on Aug. 14, 1954, at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Wonewoc. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Jack sold insurance and real estate. He owned and operated Club 51 in DeForest until his retirement in 1994. Jack loved to travel, especially to Mexico. He enjoyed sports, especially the Cubs and Packers. Above all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Jack is survived by his wife, Dolores of DeForest; a daughter, Deborah (fiance, Lowell Merkin) Kopatz; three grandchildren, Christopher, Courtney and Carli Kopatz; a sister, Yvonne (Gary) Cahoon; a brother, Gerald Sosinsky; and his mother-in-law, Irma Wolfe. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Donald, Phillip and Joseph. Funeral services will be held at HOLY CROSS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2670 Milwaukee St., at noon, on Wednesday, March 28, 2007. Burial will be at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery, Wonewoc. Visitation will be GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Tuesday, March 27, 2007 and at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
