Caldwell, Velma V. HOLLANDALE/ FITCHBURG/ STOUGHTON - Velma V. Caldwell, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, March 13, 2007. She was born on Dec. 9, 1913, in Montezuma, Iowa, to Harvey and Mamie (Beason) McClure. Velma married Earl Caldwell on Sept. 21, 1935, in Madison. He preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 1963. Velma worked in housekeeping at the Wisconsin Central Center for 13 years, retiring in 1978. She was a former member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Oregon, a member of All Saints Lutheran Church, Fitchburg and the Hollandale Auxiliary Post No. 510. Velma is survived by her children, Ada (James) DeFore of Stoughton, Jack (Suzann) Caldwell of Fitchburg, Gary (Carol) Caldwell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Marcia (Alvin) Bloedow of Madison; eight grandchildren, Penny (Todd) Husebo, James (Tiffany) DeFore, Dan (Jamie) Caldwell, Scott and Kari Caldwell, Tanya (John) Mosinski, Kelli Caldwell, and Tina Dyer; eight great-grandchildren, Hydee and Karee Husebo, Lucas DeFore, Tegan Caldwell, Kristin, Scott and Emily McCarthy, and Nickoel Dyer; and a brother, Eldon (Eleanor) McClure of Oregon. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a grandson, Tory Caldwell; two brothers, Paul McClure and Virgil McClure; and a sister, Viola Brown. Funeral services will be held at ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2951 Chapel Valley Road, Fitchburg, at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2007, with the Rev. Richard Johnson presiding. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Hollandale Lutheran Cemetery.
