Aileen Rahn

Rahn, Aileen H. STOUGHTON - Aileen H. Rahn, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, at Stoughton Hospital. She was born on Oct. 27, 1913, in Edgerton, to Gustav and Ella (Johnson) Schulz. Aileen earned her nursing degree at St. Charles Hospital, Aurora, Ill., graduating in 1935. She did post graduate work in surgical nursing at the University of Pennsylvania. Aileen enjoyed a successful career in nursing all over the country, prior to her marriage. She married Donald Rahn on Dec. 29, 1945, in Edgerton. They moved to Milwaukee after they got married. After Dons retirement, they moved to Texas where they lived for 25 years. Aileen enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and traveling. She is survived by a son, Doug (Apryl Holman) Rahn of Mount Horeb; a daughter, Barb (Craig) Rose of Urbandale, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Suzanne (Robert) Furan, Jeff Schultz, David (Susan) Schultz, and Janet Schultz; cousins, Julie (Don) Kersten, Peter (Kathy) Christianson, Alan (Virginia) Lipke, and Joan (Phil) Grefsheim; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Aileen was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; two brothers, Frank Schultz and Paul Schultz; and cousins, Norman Lipke and Margaret Christianson. A memorial service will be held at SKAALEN HOME CHAPEL, 400 N. Morris St., Stoughton, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2007, with the Rev. James Koza presiding. Visitation will be at Skaalen Chapel from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be at Fassett Cemetery, Edgerton at a later date.
