Delores Schwenn

Schwenn, Delores E. OREGON - Delores E. "Sally" Schwenn, age 75, died on Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at Oregon Manor. She was born on Jan. 1, 1932, in Madison, to Donald and Clara (Zantow) McGaw. Delores married Gerald Schwenn on Oct. 11, 1949. She worked as a teachers aide in the Oregon School District for five years. Delores was a Cub Scout den mother for many years in Oregon and a member of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Peoples United Methodist Church and founded the Mothers Day Out program at the church. Delores was active with the Meals On Wheels Program in the Oregon and Brooklyn areas. She is survived by her children, Thomas (Lisa) Schwenn of Montello, Nancy (James) Outhouse of Oregon, Kathy (Greg) Ninneman of Hudson, Merry (Allen) Bachim of Brooklyn, Benjamin (Sue) Schwenn of Oregon, Timothy (Pat Erickson) Schwenn of Oregon, and Tammy (Daniel) Neumann of Jamestown, N.D.; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Delores enjoyed her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her and she meant the world to us. Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald, in 2000; her parents; a son, Dan; and a brother, Richard McGaw. Funeral services will be held at PEOPLES UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 103 Alpine Parkway, Oregon, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, with the Rev. Howard Hintzman presiding. Burial will be at Prairie Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL HOME, 431 Soden Drive, Oregon from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc. The family would like to thank the staff at Oregon Manor, for their care and compassion. Mom, Grandma, you will be in our hearts forever.
