Lillian Venden

Venden, Lillian Helen MIDDLETON/ HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. - Lillian Helen Venden, age 87, passed away on Friday, Feb. 23, 2007, in New York. She was born on Oct. 20, 1919, in Sauk County, the daughter of Henry and Lena (Meyer) Westedt. Lillian was a member of St. Lukes Lutheran Church in Middleton and their Wyalusing Ladies. She had a variety of interests including sewing, bowling and especially enjoyed housekeeping, but loved most, the time with her family. Lillian is survived by her children, Nancy Barberi of New York State, Nick Venden of California, Neal (Marcia) Venden and Norman Venden, both of Middleton and Ned Venden of Texas; five grandchildren, Krin Barberi, Ian Barberi, Andy (Jennifer) Venden, Amy Harwood and Jim Venden; a great-granddaughter, Nina Harwood; a great-grandson, Alex Venden; a brother, Vern (Clara "Tina") of Reedsburg; three sisters-in-law, Marie Westedt of Loganville, Lois Westedt of Belvidere, Ill. and Audrey Westedt; her special friends, Barb Moseng, Lisa Carey and Laura Maher; and many nieces and nephews. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Olaf; a sister, Eleanor Reimer; and three brothers, Erick, Wally and Paul Westedt. Memorial services will be held at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2007, with the Rev. Stephen Ganzkow-Wold presiding. Burial will be in Middleton Junction Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Lukes Lutheran Church.
