Dennis Richie

Richie, Dennis Ralph SUN PRAIRIE - Dennis Ralph Richie, age 63, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Monday, Feb. 26, 2007. He was born on Aug. 7, 1943, in Hudson, to Mae and Michael Richie. Dennis served as a navigator in the U. S. Navy, in Vietnam for six years. He graduated from St. Thomas College, St. Paul, Minn., with degrees in journalism and history. Dennis married Ronna Bertin on Aug. 1, 1985, in Madison. He worked at Demco in DeForest. Dennis loved reading, animals, and flower gardening. He is survived by his wife, Ronna Bertin Richie; a daughter, Rebecca (Erik) Lorenz; a son, Gregory; six grandchildren; his mother, Mae; two sisters, Stephanie and Suzanne; and a brother, Gregory. A memorial service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2007. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
