Rosann Ericson

Ericson, Rosann B. MADISON - Rosann B. Ericson, age 85, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at St. Marys Care Center. She was born the eighth of 10 children to John and Anna (Karls) Barbian in the Town of Springfield. In her early working career, Rosann worked for American News. Then began her career with the Department of Transportation, where she met her future husband, Herbert Ericson. They were married on Jan. 9, 1960, at St. Raphaels Cathedral. After raising her family, Rosann returned to work with the State Department of Revenue, retiring after 12 years. She was a longtime member of St. Dennis Catholic Church. One of her greatest joys in life was her family. She loved spending time with them at family get-togethers and parties. She is survived by her sons, Michael and Tod Ericson; sister-in-law, Elizabeth "Betty" Barbian; several nieces and nephews; and many, many wonderful family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert in 1987; parents; brothers, Peter, John, Victor, Joseph and Alfred "Fritz;" and sisters, Frances, Mary, Dolores and Elizabeth. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at 11 a.m. at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, with Father Brian Wilk presiding. Entombment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2007, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m. at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive and also Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at church. Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established at St. Marys Care Center. Rosanns family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the nurses and staff at St. Marys Care Center for their wonderful care.
