Corma Howley

Howley, Corma F. MADISON - Corma F. Howley (nee Weidling) born to life August 6, 1910, entered Eternal Life February 19, 2007, at the age of 96 years. She is the loving mother of Myrtle (Jim), Donald (Lynne), and Gary (Rosalie). Preceded in death by son, Dennis. Cherished grandmother, step-grandmother, great-grandmother and great step-grandmother. She is also survived by her sister, Lorraine (Frank) Esser; and nieces and nephews. Corma began her teaching career in 1930 (Sauk County). Her final 25 years of teaching were with the Madison Metro School District (23 years at Madison East) from which she retired in 1975. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to all those who cared for Corma during her later years, especially the Meriter Terraces and Meriter Health Center staff. Memorials are suggested to the Corma Howley Scholarship Fund (for students majoring in education) begun in 1998 by Cormas children and grandchildren (c/o Gary Howley, N80 W13555 River Park Drive, Menomonee Falls, WI 53051. It was Cormas wishes that no visitation or memorial services be held in her honor. "She taught us to learn, to love, to see beauty, to take our place in the worldand bloom there."
