Mary Femrite

Femrite, Mary A. MADISON - Mary A. Femrite, age 83, of Madison, passed away on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at HospiceCare. She was born on Aug. 10, 1923, in Platteville, the daughter of Clyde and Alma Dailey. Mary married Sidney Femrite on Nov. 26, 1949, in Madison. Mary was born and raised in Platteville. She graduated from Platteville High School, then from St. Pauls Bible College. At one time, Mary owned and managed a restaurant on Monona Drive in Madison. Mary also worked as a nurses aid for many years at Morningside Sanitarium, a tuberculosis hospital, before retiring to be a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed attending church, reading, cooking, shopping, and international travel. Mary is survived by her children, Mark Femrite of Atlanta, Ga. and Susan Femrite-Davis, also of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Delbert (Marion) Dailey of Cuba City; a brother-in-law, Cyril (Ginny) Femrite of Greenbelt, Md.; nieces, nephews, and many cousins. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
