Naser, Joseph A. MADISON - Joseph A. Naser, age 91, passed away on Friday, Feb. 2, 2007, at Oak Park Place. He was born on May 24, 1915, in San Francisco, Calif., to William and Rosa (Edgar) Naser. Joseph was married to Mary Shea on May 12, 1956, at Our Lady of Lourdes in Chicago, Ill. Joseph was a staff sergeant in the Army Air Corps during World War II in New Guinea. He worked in the Chicago area as an accountant for many years. Joseph was an avid fisherman and stamp collector. He had a great love of travel, photography and an immense knowledge of geography and history. Joseph was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Mary; a daughter, Marijo (Ed) Svojse of Madison; two sons, Albert (Doreen) of Raleigh, N.C. and Joseph (Ingrid) of Redwood City, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Erica, Kari, Rachael, and Nicholas Svojse, and Michael, Michelle, Steven and Kurtis Naser; and nieces and nephews. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Dorothy (Ernest) Pohlig. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2007, at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery where military rites will be conducted. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Dennis Catholic Church for Masses.
