Kuehn, Charles J. MADISON - Charles "Chuck" J. Kuehn, age 71, died on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2007, at Meriter Hospital. He was born on March 5, 1935, in Burlington, to Maynard and Evelyn (Bull) Kuehn. Chuck enlisted in the Army in 1955, serving his country in Germany, and was discharged in 1957. On Feb. 8, 1958, Chuck was married to Mary "Eileen" Karay, in Whitewater. Chuck owned Modern T.V., where he worked until retiring in 1998. Following his retirement, Chuck enjoyed driving for Laidlaw and Evansville Auto Auction. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Elks Club No. 410, Monona Grove Businessmens Club, a charter member of Monona Jaycees, and a lifelong Packer fan. Charles is survived by his wife, Eileen; a son, Michael (Tracy) Kuehn of Mason, Ohio; a daughter, Debra (Jeff) Sonday, of McFarland; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Trent, Amanda, Trista, Josh, Alex, Chase, and Brianna; a sister, Dianne (Bob) Gilpatrick of Daytona Beach, Fla..; an uncle, Francis "Fritz" (Ruth) Kuehn of Jefferson; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2007, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Military Rites are to follow. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., with prayer services at 4 p.m, on Monday, Jan. 29, 2007, and at the church on Tuesday, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Private burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Chucks name.
