Jack Mulich

Mulich, Jack Albert FITCHBURG - Jack Albert Mulich, age 77, passed away on Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, of multiple sclerosis, at the HospiceCare Center, Fitchburg. He was born on Dec. 30, 1929, in West Bend, the son of Hugh and Ruth Corning. Jack married Yvonne J. Putnam on Nov. 16, 1950, in Cottage Grove. He enlisted in the U.S. Army for more than 20 years, retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer. Jack had a second career, working at Ohmeda Medical for more than 17 years. He enjoyed wood carving and tool making. Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Yvonne J. Mulich of Fitchburg; a son, Jack S. (Mary) Mulich of Madison; grandchildren, Renee A. (David) Bieri of Madison, Stephen J. Mulich of Sun Prairie, and Michelle M. Mulich of Madison; great-grandsons, Lucas J. Bieri and Owen B. Bieri; sisters, Patricia Wineke of Verona, Dr. Margaret (Nic) Dupuis of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Marianna Alfonso of Indianapolis, Ind.; and two brothers, Rev. Richard (Delores) Corning of Briggsville, and Paul (Junette) Ziegler of Portage. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Ruth Corning; a sister, Rosemarie Pund; and brothers, James H. Corning, Donald K. Corning and R. Lee Corning. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, with Sister Georgeann Roudebush presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the time of service. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens.
