Alyce Stassi

Stassi, Alyce M. MADISON - Alyce M. Stassi, age 93, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at St. Marys Care Center, Madison. She was born on Nov. 5, 1913, in North Bristol, the daughter of John and Caroline (Kuhle) Feuling. Alyce was united in marriage to Henry "Hank" Stassi on Oct. 12, 1942, in Madison. She worked in food service at Sears and American Family Insurance for many years. Alyce enjoyed gardening and cooking and baking for special occasions. She was a longtime member of St. Bernard Catholic Church, Madison. Alyce is survived by her son, Michael (Janeen) Stassi of Cottage Grove; three grandchildren, Mindi (Jim) Sheahan, Jennifer (Joe) Shell and Jay Stassi; great-grandchildren, Baelee, Addison, Sophee and Emelia Shell and Eliot, Kendell and Molly Sheahan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Maghan; a sister, Myrtle; and four brothers, Fritz, Ed, LeRoy and Harold. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the St. Bernard Church, Madison or to St. Marys Care Center.
