James Waldorf

Waldorf, James S. MADISON - James S. Waldorf, age 49, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer, at the HospiceCare Center, Fitchburg, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on Aug. 12, 1957, in Madison. Jim worked at National Electrostatics for 21 years in various capacities. He enjoyed ham radio (KB9AQQ), camping and his beloved motorcycle. Jim recently enjoyed coaching hockey in the Dodgeville and Mount Horeb areas. He had an extremely good relationship with the kids that he coached and their parents. Jim is survived by his father, Sidney R. Waldorf; his miniature long-haired dachshund, Puck; and several uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia, on Aug. 12, 2006. Funeral services will be held at MESSIAH EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5203 Cottage Grove Road, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2007, with the Rev. Jeff VandenHeuvel presiding. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, 2007.
