Obituary
Hazlett, Agnes L. BLACK EARTH - Agnes Louise Hazlett, age 79, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, at St. Marys Hospital, in Madison. She was born on Oct. 21, 1927, in Rockbridge, the daughter of James and Violet (Young) Brewer. Her family moved to Ithaca, where she was raised and graduated from the Ithaca High School in 1945. In 1948, Agnes moved to California and worked as a stewardess for Pan Am Airlines. Agnes met her former husband on Wake Island, where they were married in 1956. They moved to Honolulu in 1962 and she worked as a secretary at various businesses, residing there until 1998, when they moved to Black Earth. Agnes loved her cats and dogs, crossword puzzles and reading. She is survived by a son, Michael Hazlett and his father, Emmett Hazlett of Lake Havasu, Ariz.; two sisters, Irene (John) Pobiecke of Waunakee and Kathleen (Glenn) Ferguson of Richland Center; a brother, Edward Brewer of McFarland; and several nieces and nephews. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Tom Brewer and James Raymond Brewer. Memorial services will be held at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2007. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc.
