Walsvick, Harry MONONA - Harry Walsvick, age 91, died peacefully at St. Marys Care Center on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2006. He was born to Bert and Tillie (Tollifson) Walsvick on July 11, 1915, in Columbia County. Harry was married at St. Johns Lutheran Church in 1937, to Irene Bultman for 69 years. He worked at Gardner Bakery for 42 years. After retirement, Harry drove school buses for handicap children for three years. He was an avid sportsman; he enjoyed deer hunting, musky fishing, pheasant hunting and golfing. Harry was an honorary member of the Woods and Lake Sportsman Club. He was a former member of the Masonic Lodge No. 5 and the Elks Club No. 410. Harry enjoyed being with friends, relatives, his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Harry is survived by his wife, Irene (Bultman); a daughter, Sharon (John) Harrison of Sun Prairie; a son, Ronald (Debra) Walsvick of McFarland; a sister, Agnes Harless of Marshall; two grandchildren, Lori Harrison and Michele Walsvick; two great-grandchildren, Lee Holt and Mikayla Walsvick; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Burnette Schlichenmaier and Clara Hackbart; brothers, Raymond, Lewie, Boyd, and Lawrence; and grandchildren, Michael Harrison and Kori Walsvick. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at 11 a.m., at ST. JOHNS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 322 E. Washington St. The Rev. Allen Wahl will be presiding. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, at 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive. The family would like to thank the many caring and helpful people at St. Marys Care Center. We love you Dad, we hated to see you suffer, but God will take care of you. Those whose memories we hold most dear, never really leave us - they live on - in the kindness that theyve shown, the comfort they have shared, and most of all, the love they brought into our lives.
