Fern Wahlberg

Wahlberg, Fern M. MONONA - Fern M. Wahlberg, age 84, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2006, at her home after a brief illness. She was born on July 29, 1922, in Kilborn (Wisconsin Dells), the daughter of Glenn and Helen Reynolds. Fern was united in marriage to Phillip E. Wahlberg on Nov. 23, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa. A lifelong resident of Wisconsin, Fern was devoted to her family and was an avid fan of the Packers, Badgers and Tiger Woods. She is survived by her children, Dr. James L. (Judy) of Missoula, Mont., Susan H. (Keene) Warren of Muscoda, Gary A. (special friend, Wendy) of Monona and Terri M. (Tim) ONeil of Monona; 10 grandchildren, Brint (Courtney) and Kris Wahlberg, Matt (Lisa) and Eric Doyle, Theron, Alex and Marne Wahlberg, and Kelly, Devin and Megan ONeil; three great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Christopher Doyle and Reese Wahlberg; and a sister, Viola Heitman of Pahrump, Nev. Fern was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip; a son, Philip; her parents; and a brother, Glenn Thomas Reynolds. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at noon, on Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, with the Rev. Brad Homan presiding. Inurnment will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, at a later date. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
