Sandra Olson

Olson, Sandra M. BROOKLYN - Sandra M. Olson, age 51, passed away on Monday, Nov. 27, 2006, at home, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Sept. 14, 1955, in Monroe, the daughter of Helen Ginner. Sandra was united in marriage on Nov. 27, 1971, to Richard L. Olson, at Brooklyn Community United Methodist Church. She worked for Kwik Trip for 13 years, then Brooklyn Mobil, and met and made many friends. Sandra was a hard worker, excellent mother, and loved her dog, Oliver and cats. She enjoyed going out for long drives, watching birds, garage sales and shopping. Christmas was her favorite holiday. She will be remembered for her love of her family and friends. Sandra is survived by her son, Daniel (Vicki) Olson of Brooklyn; her brother, Gerald Ginner of Janesville; and many nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Olson in 1987; her mother, Helen Ginner; an uncle, Edward Rasmussen; and an aunt, Ruth Rasmussen. Funeral services will be held at BROOKLYN COMMUNITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 201 Church St., Brooklyn, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 1, 2006, with the Rev. Gail Brown presiding. Visitation for family and friends will be at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Brooklyn. Memorials may be made to Home Hospice in Sandras name, to help continue with caring for family members at home with their loved ones. A special thank you goes out to the Home Hospice Team and Stephanie Pernot, for their assistance in helping us make Sandras wishes to be at home possible.
