Obituary
Lemon, Louise M. MIDDLETON/ MADISON - Louise Margaret Lemon, age 90, passed away on Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. She was born on Sept. 15, 1916, in Sparta, the daughter of Robert William and Hattie Evans. Louise worked in library and information services for the Madison Public Library, UW Library and State Reference and Loan Library of the Department of Public Instruction, until her retirement in 1983. During the early 1950s she worked for the U.S. Armed Forces Institute, Madison. Louise enjoyed following politics, golf and football, but treasured most the time she devoted to all generations of her family. Louise was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church of Madison. She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Dick) Wagner of North Bend, Ore.; five grandchildren, Todd (Cammi) Wagner of Washington, D.C., Kari Wagner of Columbia, S.C., Christopher Ramsey, Dan A. (Michele) Ramsey II, all of Middleton and David (Debra) Ramsey of Lac du Flambeau; a son-in-law, Dan A. (Amy) Ramsey of Middleton; a sister, Marian Gommermann of Menomonee Falls; a brother, William Evans of Sparta; many great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter and nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, in 1942; a daughter, Barbara Jean Ramsey, in 1983; three sisters, Edythe Dettmann, Evelyn Jones and Dorothy Ottow and a brother, Dewey Evans. Memorial services will be held at BETHEL LUTHERAN CHURCH, 312 Wisconsin Ave., Madison, at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, with a time of fellowship and food following at the church.
