Helen Drea

Drea, Helen V. MONONA - Helen V. Drea, age 86, passed away on Friday, Nov. 17, 2006. She was born on Nov. 7, 1920, in Cazenovia, the daughter of Joseph and Nellie Connors. Helen was united in marriage to Harold Drea on April 6, 1942. She was formerly of Reedsburg and had been a Monona resident since 1969. Helen worked at Central Colony as a nurses aide. She was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Helen is survived by her children, Sister Jeanne Drea OP of Apalachicola, Fla., Andrea (Roger) Kruk of Madison and Harold (Sally) Drea of Fitchburg; four grandchildren, Molly and Kate Drea, Michelle (Eric) Drea-Fritz and Sarah Kruk; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Lucy Chase of Waterloo, Iowa; and two sisters-in-law, Doris Berberich and Ruby Connors. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, on April 15, 1991; her brothers, Leo Berberich, Joseph Connors and John Kenneth Connors; and a sister, Margaret Washburn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield St., Monona, at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Reedsburg. Visitation will be at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday. The family would like to express their appreciation to Helens caregivers the past three years, Sue and Marina, their special attention, care and friendship to Helen was a gift.
