Obituary

Stueck, Michael A. MADISON - Michael A. Stueck, age 57, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2006, at home surrounded by his family. He was born on Oct. 3, 1949, in Two Rivers, the son of Roger and Catherine (McKnight) Stueck. Michael was a 1967 graduate from Washington High School in Two Rivers; a 1985 graduate from UW-Madison, with a bachelors degree in business administration; and received his masters degree in science and business, from UW-Madison, in 1994. He was united in marriage to Ann C. Altman on May 24, 1980, at St. Pauls University Chapel, Madison. Michael worked for the state of Wisconsin for more than 32 years. Most recently he worked at the Department of Health and Family Services Division of Public Health, as a budget and policy analyst, where he managed their web based grants and contracts system. He was an avid supporter of his sons activities at LaFollette High School. Michael also enjoyed karate with his sons, he achieved the rank of 2nd degree black belt and helped other students train for their test. He truly enjoyed spending time with his family. Michael is survived by his loving wife, Ann of Madison; his two sons, Benjamin and Andrew, both of Madison; siblings, James Stueck of LaFarge, John Stueck of Two Rivers, Mary (Dwight) Klein of Custer, S.D., Gary (Dorothy) Stueck of Richfield, Minn., Helen (Pat) Richmond of Two Rivers and Thomas (Mary) Stueck of Two Rivers; two brothers-in-law, John (Linda) Altman of Crystal Lake, Ill. and James (Patricia) Altman of Chippewa Falls; two sisters-in-law, Marie (Ronald) Radunzel of Madison and Jean Durch of Chippewa Falls; and many special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, Michael Durch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2450 Atwood Ave., Madison, at 3 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 6, 2006, with Monsignor Michael Hippee presiding. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Sunday, Nov. 5, 2006, and at the church from 2 p.m. until the time of the service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LaFollette High School Athletic and Band Programs, American Cancer Society or to the HospiceCare Inc. The family would like to thank Mikes friends and co-workers at the Division of Public Health, for their support during his illness. i am very sorry that this disease had killed you, but anyway you were a very nice brother of whom everybody going to missed especially your family. mike I am going to missed you alot even thou we didn't get a chance to visit one another like we should but you are surely going to be missed.
