Theodore Lundey

Lundey, Theodore R. MIDDLETON - Theodore R. Lundey, age 85, passed away to his eternal home on Monday, Oct. 16, 2006. He was born on June 27, 1921, in Oregon, the son of Gunder and Signe (Gunderson) Lundey. Ted was a United States World War II veteran having proudly served two years in the Army, being stationed in France, Italy and Africa. He was united in marriage to Adeline Duescher, of Belleville, on Nov. 24, 1955, and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year on Thanksgiving Day. They spent all of their married life in Middleton, where they raised their two children, David and Joan. Ted received his masters of education in business education and was employed by the Middleton High School Board of Education for 30 years, having previously taught at Rhinelander and Blanchardville. Ted enjoyed bowling and gardening, but his favorite extra time was working in his brothers greenhouse, attending his grandsons hockey games and daughters dance recitals. Survivors include his wife, Adeline; a son, David (Sarah) of Middleton and daughter, Joan of Madison; a brother, Gunder; a sister, Alice, both of Oregon; and grandchildren, Kyle and Tyler of Middleton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Gehard, Edward and George; and a sister, Mary. Funeral services will be held at the GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL HOME, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, with the Rev. Stephen Ganzkow-Wold of St. Lukes Lutheran Church presiding. Burial will follow in Prairie Mound Cemetery, Oregon. After the burial a luncheon will take place at St. Lukes Lutheran Church, 7337 Hubbard Ave., Middleton beginning at 3 p.m. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
