Richard Norene

Norene, Richard L. MADISON - Richard L. "Dick" Norene, age 73, died on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2006. He was born on June 9, 1933, in Minneapolis, Minn. Dick graduated from Owatonna High School in Owatonna, Minn., Mankato State University, Mankato, Minn., with a B.S. degree, and earned an M.S. degree from UW-Madison. He served in the U.S. Army. Dick married Barbara Lewis on June 9, 1962, in Madison. He was a history teacher at Schenk Middle School and La Follette High School for 30 years, retiring in 1990. Dick loved football, especially the La Follette Lancers. He enjoyed following state high school football, the Badgers, and Packers. Dick and Barbara had a special group of friends that always attended football games together. He enjoyed spending time with his friends golfing. He loved to travel. Dick and Barbara enjoyed many wonderful summers at their Door County condo. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; and many wonderful friends and relatives. In keeping with his wishes, no services will be held. Memorials may be made to HospiceCare Inc.
