Beulah Sholts

Sholts, Beulah L. OREGON - Beulah L. Sholts, age 95, a lifelong Oregon resident, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at Main Street Quarters. She was born on June 14, 1911, the daughter of Erwin and Martha (Tuttle) Gallagher. Beulah was united in marriage to Ralph W. Sholts on Dec. 28, 1929. She was an agriculture enumerator for the Wisconsin Agriculture Department, retiring in 1992. Beulah was a member of Peoples United Methodist Church, Oregon Eastern Star Chapter No. 49, Womens Society of Christian Service and the Silver Threads. She is survived by her children, Ralph (Paula) Sholts Jr. of Webster, N.Y., Erwin "Bud" (Joyce) Sholts of Oregon, Joan Anderson of Oregon, and Jean (Mark) Hanson of Oregon; six grandchildren, Carrie, Cami, Kelly, Greg, Sheri and Martha; 10 great-grandchildren; and her 14-year companion, her cat, Scooter. She was preceded in death by her husband; her sister, Lola; and a good friend, Herb Grohskopf. Funeral services will be held at PEOPLES UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 103 Alpine Parkway (corner of Alpine Dr. and Jefferson St.) Oregon, at 12:30 p.m., on Friday, Sept. 29, 2006, with the Rev. Howard Hintzman presiding. Burial will be at Prairie Mound cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
